the good:

aesthetic properties
cohesion of elements: everything in this site seems to be balance with the texts and images. the space in the site is also well organized with the categories and the scroll body information. follows a structural form throughout the whole site. different way of displaying a site to the audience attention grabber)

flow of information: visual organization is well developed. the home page displays the name of the site, the quick body scroll page and the category texts on top of the page to make it visible for the audience. when clicking on the categories o  the top of the page it shows a big title and a small text under containing pictured options to go more in depth.

visual themes: 1st thing that is awesome is the action happening in the home page. the big scroll body page makes the site more fun/ attention grabbing. for every section on the scroll part there is text/images action happening. make the images almost pop out

color schemes: colors on every section of this site are live. the colors are bright and the text colors are always visible. the choices of where dark and bright colors are located in the site are great.

associations

the design of this site(specially the home page) reminds me of watching animations/cartoons because of the colors being used and the actions happening in the scroll home page. the pictures/drawings being used are also very bright and fun.

aesthetic properties
the bad:

cohesion of elements: the site seems to be unbalanced with pictures and its texts. The site structure is also very basic and boring.(would not get the attention of the audience). very confusing with elements being used throughout the whole site.

flow of information: the visual organization is ok but not the best. the home page organization is all over the place. seems all crunched together.

visual themes: the pictures that change on the site are somewhat boring and none realistic. look like cartoon products throughout the whole site. the different types of images that come out are not relevant to the site product.

color schemes: personally do not like the color combinations in the site. pictures could be way more detailed. colors stay the same throughout all the tabs/ categories.(no eye catching change)

                             associations
does not trigger me to any memories or triggers me to any associations. the site is missing that part to connect the site/products with the audience. the quality in the visual presentations should be enhanced.

web pages i liked and disliked assignment

-what i liked:
http://demo.themevan.com/citynews/

the first thing i liked was the page was wide and big. its easy to read/ see pictures. the page has great organization with categories, titles, pics/texts.

http://100scifimovies.com

i like the colors and background used in the page. i liked the latest news sections followed by a 1 through 100 chart of movies. this makes the page easy to go through which is not complicated at all.

-what needs improvement:

http://www.motrec.com
i thought the page looked boring. the colors used in the site also did not seem to stand out. another thing that i thought would need improvement is the organization or the way things are set up on the page. the pictures remed a bit concussive to me as well.

SAME BLOGGER! SWITCHING FROM 2D ART TO WEB PAGE CREATION

assignment #1 web creation class

this picture is a drawing/painting of daft punk. this picture comes from the adult art club tumblr page. there seems to be a lot of black and white pictures but also many colorful pictures. i choose this picture because i personally like daft punk and really like the painting style in the picture and the way the picture stands.

this picture is a picture collage from the martin parris tumblr. i was not able to click on the tumblr page but this cover picture really drew my attention. it drew my attention because i like the animation in this collage. there is a lot of brightness and darkness in each picture which makes each of them pop out. the best part of this martin collage is that it the work is simple but with a lot of depth.
